Hi Ismael. Atoms are the building blocks of matter. This means that everything you see in this world is made up of atoms. The chair, the table, that hibiscus plant. Everything is made up of atoms. Atoms are also made up of several parts - the Neutron and the Protons. The Neutrons has no charge and the proton is positive-charged. The Neutron and the Proton joins together together to form the nucle... more

Everybody is different, though for the most part, when some says you have an "old soul", they are generally just refering to your level of maturity and knowledge in comparison to your age. The second most common meaning behind someone suggesting you have an "old soul", is when they are refering to reincarnation - the theory that a soul may reincarnate back into another human experience as many ti... more

Simple reasons for all these events. 1.China and Pakistan are both economic and regional rivals of India and are bound to oppose, because it will directly/indirectly affect their foreign policy. 2.US needs Indian support to counter Chinese vast economic and military threat.Hence by supporting India, they have been assured of Indian assistance to counter any chinese aggression. more

I would like to not be able to do so easily, there must be a certain process, but this experience must be very difficult, because the spirit of the people is uncertainty, not only through the phenomenon in order to demonstrate a spiritual culture. But how hard our world always give me time to toss this question. But I hope to consider the following aspects: the first is why the spiritual and cultur... more

Hate to break it to you guys, but Edison stole and/or ripped off almost everything he's credited with. It's pretty sad. The generators we use today, and those that are responsible for pretty much our entire way of life, are actually AC generators based of Nikola Tesla's design and nothing like Edison vastly inferior DC generators. If we ended up using Edison's generator, we have to have one about ... more

My biggest challenge is reconciling my income to dealing with the disasters of life.  This may not be scientific, but almost impossible to control due to uncontrolled events.  I believe a certain challenge is needed to truly live life, but I could use a few less in the personal life.  As an example, last month the van burned to the ground in a parking lot for no reason.  Yes we... more

If you have followed recent events, the panic caused over the tsunami which didn't happen suggests that whatever methods are being used need replacing immediately.  My understanding of plate techtonics is that there are two types of plates, those which move side to side and those in which one goes under the other.  In the first there is an earthquake but no tsunami, in the second there i... more

An Interesting question. Time is just man-made concept and therefore it depends on individual's perception. In other words time is relative.(which is also a part of Eintein's Special theory of relativity). So when you are dreaming, it is because your subconscious mind creates alternate reality, where the process of mind creates its own version of events and percieves it as days/months/years even tho... more

Pradip, Jagadish Bose also suggested that non-living things have feelings and tried proving it through experiments on metal. But as we know, this is not correct. His claims of plant feelings have been discounted through modern research. His theory of 'Pulsating Sap' to explain ascent of sap through phloem has also been rejected. Please give the links to credible scientific experiments which have p... more

Heavy water is deuterium oxide,Its chemical formula is D2O(i.e. instead of hydogen atom, deuterium is present in water molecule). Ice is the solid state of water. At zero degree Celsius water transforms to ice by releasing 80 cal/gm heat which is called as latent heat of water for the liquid to solid phase change. Similarly Ice transforms to water by absorbing this amount of latent heat. So ice is different from water only in the sense of the amount of heat content in it. more

Hydrogen is the lightest element while helium is the second lightest. Helium is rare to find on earth and is most abundant in the sun. On the other hand, hydrogen usually is a very recative element and forms compounds with other elements readily. For example, in atmosphere, hydrogen atoms form water when they come in contact with oxygen. This is the reason free helium and hydrogen are usually not ... more
